A significant number of youth in Quebec rely on urban and interregional transit services to carry out the various facets of their lives. Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, young people still have educational, employment and familial responsibilities to fulfill.
Sacrificing urban transit services to balance the budget will have adverse effects on some of the province's young people. We call on the government of Québec to ensure that both urban and interregional transit service remain operational during the COVID-19 pandemic.
